Renault Trafic Formula Edition races in

A small consignment of exclusive Renault Trafic vans has just landed at Renault dealerships across Australia.

Celebrating the link between the Renault Sport Formula 1 Team and Renault LCV as a supplier of vital transportation for development parts from factory to test track and race circuit, the Renault Trafic Formula Edition comes with evocative yellow trim highlights, a sporty yellow racing stripe and a choice of Jet black or Storm Grey paint.

“The new Renault Trafic Formula Edition is limited to 80 examples for all of Australia so they will really stand out,” says Lyndon Healey, Senior Model Line Manager for Renault LCV.

“It is not often that a LCV manufacturer provides a special edition of this calibre to the market, and certainly there are no LCV brands that are so closely related to Formula 1 as us.

“We have been able to secure these 80 examples from a very limited global supply, and we are confident Australian van buyers will be keen to obtain one of these distinctive and exclusive vans,” Lyndon said.

“Last year we sold more Renault Trafic mid-size vans in Australia than ever before, underlining the appeal of the product, its generous specification and its competitive pricing, to the market. Now we have these 80 Formula Editions to provide an even greater dash of pace and style to the Trafic line-up,” he said.

In addition to the choice of exterior colour, the limited edition Trafic is available in short or long-wheelbase, and all versions are powered by the gutsy 103kW Twin Turbo diesel engine.

The full exterior pack for the Formula Edition comprises a body coloured front bumper, rear light surrounds and door rail, black-painted 17 inch ‘Cyclade’ alloy wheels with yellow centre caps, a unique black Renault diamond bonnet badge, yellow upper and lower grille inserts, yellow fog lamp surrounds, ‘Formula Edition’ side stripes and an anti-theft spare wheel holder.

The Inside of the Renault Trafic Formula Edition is just as special as the outside, featuring dark cloth upholstery with a heated driver’s seat, media navigation system with seven inch touchscreen, premium dashboard layout with storage compartment, chrome instrument panel surround, gloss black side air vent surrounds, leather covered gear selector with chrome-plated trim, chrome-plated speaker surround, ‘Formula Edition’ floor mats, the incredibly useful wide-view mirror, deadlocking security system and LED ceiling lights.

“The Formula Edition is a luxuriously appointed version of our best-selling van, and we expect there will be a lot of competition to secure one. So, if you fancy something a little racier than normal, get on down to a Renault LCV dealer as soon as possible,” Lyndon said.

The unique Renault Trafic Formula Edition is priced from $41,990 (Manufacturer’s List Price) for the twin turbo short wheelbase model, while the long wheelbase version is priced from $43,490 (MLP).

Until 30 June 2017, these vehicles will have a national drive-away price of $41,490 and $42,990 for ABN holders.
