Brushless EC-TEC Motor Technology in Festool’s Power Select Range.  

During the development of new cordless tools it is important that the tradesman does not suffer any loss in performance, power and high-quality work results in comparison to mains power operated tools. This is why Festool utalises brushless EC-TEC motor technology and high-performance lithium-ion battery packs.

For the development of its 18-volt devices, Festool designs every motor individually and coordinates it to optimal power development thanks to clever power electronics.

A precisely metered energy supply is provided for more efficient use of every battery charge. The brushless EC-TEC motor automatically controls the torque in thresholds with intelligent motor control.

For the tradesman, the brushless motor and lithium-ion technology means a more compact and lightweight design, significantly longer work per battery charge and a longer service life compared to conventional cordless devices.

The new compound mitre saw system, HKC 55, provides precise, cordless timber work. As well as the high-performance 5.2 Ah battery pack, a balanced weight distribution and use of the new FSK guide rail contribute to the mobility of the device. The brushless EC-TEC motor in combination with the 18-volt lithium-ion battery pack offers maximum sawing power and quick working progress. All in all, an optimal mobile compound mitre saw system for precise cutting – particularly for work on scaffolding and on roofs.
