Leading the way in cordless technology, Bosch Blue will launch Australia’s first cordless brushless multi-tool, the GOP 18 V-EC Professional oscillating multi-tool in August 2013.

This state of the art oscillating tool is the first of its kind – equipped with a carbon-brush-free EC motor, it runs at an 80% efficiency rate compared to conventional DC electric motors that run at a 60-70% efficiency rate. When powered by Bosch’s pioneering 4.0Ah CoolPack battery, the new multi-tool guarantees even longer runtimes and lifetimes of both battery and tool when the battery is fully charged.

The GOP 18V-EC Professional minimises workplace hassles and dangers with the tried-and-tested SDS system to enable tool-free changing of accessories. The three-step process of loosening the tension lock, inserting the accessory and closing the tension lock makes for quick and fuss-free accessory changes.

Work is made easy for professional tradies with the reliable and agile GOP 18V-EC Professional – whether it’s adjusting door frames, sanding furniture in hard to reach places, trimming jammed nails or plunge cutting into soft or hard wood, this multi-tool is perfect for all interior applications.

Weighing less than 2kg, the low vibration multi-tool is designed for comfort and mobility. The tool is well balanced and sits comfortably in hand thanks to an ergonomically designed grip. This enables longer and harder work whilst reducing the chance of fatigue, particularly when used overhead or in hard to reach places.

Bosch Blue is also making it simpler for tradies to select the right multi-tool accessories. The new Bosch Universal Oscillating Interface Systems is now incorporated into all Bosch oscillating accessories. Additionally, the new colour-code system enables users to tell at a glance which accessories are suitable for which materials. Other accessories available in addition to the classical range include a depth stop for segment and plunge cutting saw blades, as well as an attachable dust extractor adapter for sanding work.

The GOP 18 V-EC Professional oscillating multi-tool is available in August 2013 as a bare bone tool and has an RRP of $259.
